Pen Bay Challenge - Saturday, June 23, 2012!  
The Pen Bay Healthcare Foundation invites you to join us for the Pen Bay Challenge. Bring your friends, family and coworkers for a day of fun and fitness. Join any event:
 Cycling 40k / Run 10k / Walk 5k       
Activities for kids of all ages
Event Day Timeline
7:00 a.m. - Set up and registration
Children's activities throughout the morning.
8:00 a.m. - 40k Cycle start
9:00 a.m. - 10k Run start
9:30 a.m. - 5k Walk start
10:30 a.m. - Fun run start
                                       11:00 a.m. - Awards ceremony
                           Event ends at noon.

All routes start and finish near the Owls Head Community Center. A central tent with registration, snacks, music and more will be there for us, rain or shine, as we gather to support children's healthcare programs right here in the Midcoast. You can view the routes by clicking on these links (you can also view the maps below by scrolling down):

Every dollar pledged to the Pen Bay Challenge directly supports healthy lifestyle programs for energizing kids. This year the event supports the Zing program - to learn more, visit pbmc.org/zing.
The registration fee is $35 per individual participant.
To start a team is $35, plus $10 per team member.
(After June 20th only individual registration available)
 Children 12 and under are free!
The first 250 people to register will receive a free T-shirt.

Participants who raise $150 or more (1) will receive a gift bag of useful items, including a water bottle, frisbee, Revolution Tea, as well as a one-week trial membership at the Pen Bay YMCA, and (2) will be eligible to win a pair of diamond earrings, a gift certificate for a stay at Nebo Lodge on North Haven, or many other exciting prizes!

The top fundraising team will win a dinner at the Samoset La Bella Vita restaurant. The top individual fundraiser will win an excursion on the schooner Nathaniel Bowditch.
Our fundraising web tools make it easy for you to reach out to your friends and family to participate. We provide coaching on how to easily reach, and even surpass, your fundraising goal.
With your help, we can provide children and their families with education and treatment that will improve the quality of their lives and brighten their futures.
Volunteers are welcome! We need your help as a volunteer. There are many ways you can contribute: home base setup, course layout, flaggers, refreshment servers, cheer-ers, and others!
